Resurrections + Rebounds...We are an Easter people.

It's Lent and few anticipated just how austere this season would turn out to be. We have collectively stripped away most of the "frills" of life due to the Coronavirus spread and desire to #flattenthecurve and save lives. But so many people are just plain freaking out (and over-communicating!) about this blip in the road.

Make no mistake. It's a blip.

Our country is strong. We are resilient. Our economy is just too hot to put out in a few weeks of minimalism. I do worry about the business owners that over-react and decide to hide in analysis paralysis. We just can't throw in the towel that easy. Even Forbes is singing the praises of companies that see this as an opportunity to grow market share and assert their dominance, as others hide and wait, allowing opportunity to pass them by.

Success is never short-sighted.

Let's lay low and let medical providers prepare, research and treat to take care of this thing. In the meantime, I have seen a huge emphasis on prayer, family and supporting each other. It's back to basics and it is beautiful.

The smartest business owners are preparing for the rebound. They are getting creative in establishing new revenue streams, and learning how to conduct their business online, remotely and through delivery services. These new business models will only serve to grow their market share when the smoke clears.

We trust in God above all. We are an Easter people. After the pain, comes the resurrection and it is sweet. Join me in this optimism and this looking-forward to all of the growth that will rise from this time of contraction. We will be smarter, leaner and ready to conquer our corner of the world.
